Fast-growing Royal Wootton Bassett-based IT support company Sensata has appointed Darren Beggan as the new manager of its sales team.

Darren joins from Swindon IT and communications firm Excalibur where he was head of professional services.

He was previously a director and co-owner of Swindon IT support firm Emnico Enterprises, which was acquired by Excalibur three years ago.

Darren, who has also worked for IT firms in Bristol and London, said: “I already knew Sensata was a professional company, and when they relocated to larger premises earlier this year it was a clear indication of their intention to grow.

“I’m really looking forward to being part of the process and helping the business to expand.”

Darren is also active in the Swindon business community. He sits on the Swindon Charity Ball committee and is a member of the Swindon Chamber of Commerce council.

Sensata technical director Chris Griffin said: “Darren has a wealth of experience in both sales management and the IT support industry. When we moved earlier this year to our new premises it was our intention to grow the business and Darren will help us to do just that.”

Sensata also has a new sales administrator, Emma-May Dean, to support the business undertaking all day-to-day office functions on the company’s headquarters in Coped Hall Business Park. Emma-May role will be pivotal in helping the team meet customers’ needs.
