Fast-growing Swindon accountancy firm Banks BHG has been shortlisted in the coveted British Accountancy Awards 2014.

Created by the merger in June of long-established local practices Banks and BHG, the firm is competing against six other accountants in the Independent Firm of the Year – South West category.

Banks BHG, which has three directors, 30 staff and a turnover of more than £2m, aims to be the number one accountancy firm for the area.

Now in their fourth year, the prestigious awards celebrate excellence in the British accountancy profession by showcasing professional development and highlighting the individuals who have demonstrated excellence over the past 12 months.

More than 500 people from practices all over the country are expected at the awards ceremony at The Brewer, London, on November 25.
