Two staff at Swindon-based contact centre Jaywing have been recognised as leaders in their field at the South West Contact Centre Forum (SWCCF) Awards.

Julia Whiteley won the title Support Manager of the Year while Dan Critten was highly commended in the Sales Agent of the Year category.

The contact centre itself, which employs 300 people, was shortlisted for Best Outsourced Contact Centre, Best People Engagement and Support Team of the Year.

The prestigious annual SWCCF awards, which were held in Bristol, celebrate excellence and innovation across the South West contact centre industry.

Jaywing contact managing director Chris Hancock said: “We’re extremely proud of Julia and Dan for winning these awards. For our talent to be recognised in this way is testament to the high-level of service we deliver to all our clients. This is a great achievement for our people and our contact centre, which is going from strength-to-strength as the provider of choice for many established businesses in the UK. ”

Jaywing last month announced it is to create 50 jobs at the centre in Peatmore after winning a contract with CollectPlus, the UK’s largest store-based parcel service.

The SWCCF is an industry-led initiative that supports the interests of the contact and call centre industry in the South West which consists of 250 businesses.
