50 jobs on way as Swindon customer support group Jaywing lands major new contract

Customer support group Jaywing is to create 50 jobs at its Swindon centre after winning a contract with CollectPlus, the UK’s largest store-based parcel service.

The new jobs will take total starring at Jaywing’s base at in Peatmoor, West Swindon, to more than 300 – double the number of 18 months ago.

Jaywing will run CollectPlus’s customer support centre under a new five-year contract. The centre will handle inquiries ranging from general information requests regarding the CollectPlus service from new and existing customers to more complex inquiries.

The firm said all communication will be by phone and email initially although over time this will be extended to include other contact channels.

Jaywing has centres in Sheffield, London, Newbury and Ipswich as well as Swindon. The group specialists in brand management, digital marketing and customer contact.

Jaywing contact managing director Chris Hancock said: “We’re really proud to have been appointed by CollectPlus after beating stiff competition from other outsourced providers. This is a great opportunity for the local community, creating 50 new jobs in a rapidly growing company.”

CollectPlus operations and service director Mark Lawrence added: “Our aim is always to ensure that we are giving our customers the very best level of service and support that we can, and with a rapid level of growth forecast this year for our three services, we needed a partner who could support us in these ambitions.

Jaywing, whose Swindon office is based in the showpiece Arclite building overlooking the lake at Peatmoor, previously operated under the 20:20 Dialogue brand.
