Two third-generation members of the Clifford family have been appointed directors of Blunsdon House, the family-owned four-star hotel on the outskirts of Swindon.

Ben, 34, and Chris, 31, who have both grown up in an hotel environment, are grandsons of hotel founders Peter and Zan Clifford and sons of current directors John and Carrie.

Chris, a Surrey University hotel graduate, will have responsibility for property facilities management as well as sales and marketing at the 108-bedroom hotel.

Ben is also technical director of a company providing cutting edge wi-fi, computer and TV services for many hotels across the UK. Ben will also be responsible for directing the hotel’s 1,000-member leisure club.

In 2010 the hotel celebrated 50 years since Peter and Zan first started in business on the site as a farm guest house. It grew to be one of the area’s leading business and leisure hotels.
