Beard, the Swindon-based specialist building business, has appointed Andrew Sparkes to its board as Swindon construction director.
Andrew, pictured, who has been with the company since 2007, was previously construction manager for Swindon. In that role he was responsible for managing the firm’s major projects division in the region. Andrew started his career as an engineer with Sir Robert McAlpine.

Privately-owned Beard, which also has offices in Oxford and Guildford, undertakes design and build, new build, restoration and refurbishment projects from £50,000 up to £10m for public and private sector organisations across the South of England.
Established in 1892, it has significant expertise in building for the healthcare, arts and culture, commerce and industry, education, elderly care, sports and leisure and defence sectors.
