Swindon-based window, door and conservatory group G2S has acquired AJ Windows of Gloucester, taking its business over the border into Gloucestershire for the first time.

Alan Williams and Dave Tuohy launched the G2S Group, originally Grime to Shine, in 1990 and later went on to acquire Ford and Fulford of Salisbury and Vanguard Windows of Melksham.

AJ Windows’ founders Colin and Jenny Franklin have left the company they built up over 14 years following the acquisition.

G2S managing director Mr Williams said: “It was a great time to introduce a new geographical area to the business as it is an exciting time in the industry with the introduction of the new triple glazed windows.

“These will play a big part in conserving energy and keeping fuel bills at an all-time low for many households.

“In times of economic uncertainties, it’s refreshing to see companies like the G2S Group showing continued growth.” G2S is now recruiting staff for the Gloucester operation.
