Swindon-based structural engineering consultancy SDS Consulting has moved to new premises with financial support from Barclays.
SDS has taken 2,000 sq ft site at Shrivenham Hundred Business Park on the outskirts of Swindon, having spent months seeking suitable office space to meet its growing business requirements. The firm, launched in 2003 and employs five people, has operated from rented premises in Old Town, Swindon, for a number of years.
It works on projects from a single beam design right through to £10m projects. Major clients include Swindon Borough Council, Swindon-based construction firm Beard and Spirax Sarco, the Cheltenham-based specialist engineering group, as well as smaller independent businesses.
Director Stephen Hodgson said: “SDS Consulting is very excited about the move to new offices on the Shrivenham Hundred Business Park and appreciate the support provided by Barclays in making this possible. As well as suiting the business today, it will also accommodate our future growth strategy.”
Barclays Swindon business manager Aaron Fitzpatrick said: “It is important to us to help Swindon businesses such as this finance new premises and in doing so support SMEs in their business goals. We continue to have an appetite to lend to businesses looking to expand which has to be good news for the local economy.”
