Women in Property, the networking and professional development organisation, is to stage events in Chippenham as well as other areas across the South West as part of a new focus following the election of a new regional chairman.
Naomi Chesterman, an associate in the property litigation team at Bristol law firm Veale Wasbrough Vizards and a member of WiP for five years, is keen to grow the WiP presence and membership in the South West and has implemented a new focus for events which will mean that members will benefit from events based around the region and not just in Bristol. This will include events in Chippenham.
Naomi, who specialises in contentious property/planning matters for private and public sector clients and will serve a one-year term at the helm of WiP, said: “We’ve just celebrated 25 years supporting women working in the property and construction disciplines. This starts with school visits when our members encourage girls to consider a career in the industry and continues with our National Student Awards, which seek to bring together industry and academia, to better prepare undergraduates for the world of work.
“Members have the benefit of professional and social networking events, WiP’s mentoring programme, nominations for awards and, as they become more senior, assistance in securing boardroom roles.”
