Totalpost lands its freight screening X-ray equipment at East Midlands Airport

Swindon-based mailing equipment supplier Totalpost has installed a state-of-the-art X-ray threat detection system at East Midlands Airport to improve freight screening.

The firm, which has an office on the Callender Business Park in Churchward, is the European supplier for US-based imaging specialists Astrophysics Inc.

 

The innovative X-ray machine is used extensively all over the world and produces two independent perspectives of the object being scanned, allowing for better detection and increases scanning efficiency.

 

Martin Edwards, commercial projects manager at East Midlands Airport Handling, said: “From order point to installation the service from Totalpost has been faultless, the whole process has been extremely efficient and has been carried out in a very professional manner.

 

"We are very pleased with the performance of the new X-ray threat detection screening system from Totalpost."
