Swindon and Marlborough-based law firm Withy King has achieved five first-tier rankings in the latest edition of Legal 500 – an authoritative reference guide to the UK’s best lawyers and firms.
Withy King’s commercial property, clinical negligence, personal injury, employment and racing and bloodstock teams have all achieved top rankings in Legal 500, which was published recently.
“It’s gratifying to see Withy King climbing the legal rankings and being recognised for the quality of its work. What’s more important though is that clients are providing such positive feedback, reflecting our total commitment to finding solutions to the challenges they face – whether that’s in business or in their personal or family lives,” said Graham Street, managing partner at Withy King (pictured). “We are intent on building a firm which is relevant to people today and in the future. This ethos is reflected in our continued investment in our existing teams as well as in attracting the brightest and most talented solicitors to come and join us.”
Withy King’s commercial property team is among those ranked in the first tier. Led by partner Paul Daniels, the team is renowned for its work in the field of care homes, pension properties, retail, charities and property investment. According to Legal 500, the firm’s commercial property team provides “exemplary service at a fair price” and “gets the results clients need”.
Withy King’s clinical negligence and personal injury teams were also among those to achieve first-tier rankings. Legal 500 reports that “Withy King has a reputation for complex birth injury cases and a growing dental negligence practice, and handles an increasing number of Court of Protection cases. Swindon-based Paul Rumley is recognised for his wide-ranging expertise and parliamentary lobbying. The well-respected Simon Elliman heads the team.”
Paul Rumley has also recently been short-listed for the Law Society’s Legal Excellence Awards for his lobbying against the Government’s proposed cuts to Legal Aid.
The directory also praises personal injury practice head, Louise Hart, for helping to build the firm’s reputation for catastrophic injury and fatal accident claims. It also reports that “high-value brain and spinal injury cases are a niche area of expertise for Court of Protection approved deputy, Stuart Brazington.”
Withy King held its position in a further 10 Legal 500 categories and climbed the ranks in three others.
