Swindon-based vehicle telematics and driver behaviour specialist CMS SupaTrak has received a Green Apple Award in recognition of its contribution towards environmental best practice through its work with Kier Services.
Within 12 months of
CMS SupaTrak's EcoTrak fuel-saving technology being installed in Kier's fleet of refuse collection vehicles, Kier saved 70,966 litres of diesel, and 188 tonnes of carbon.
CMS SupaTrak and Kier will be presented with their award at a ceremony in November, which will be held in the House of Commons. The partnership may also be put forward to represent Britain in the Brussels-led European Business Awards for the Environment.
CMS SupaTrak managing director Jason Airey said: “Fuel accounts for around 40% of a fleet manager’s operating costs and we work closely with fleet operators to help them overcome these challenges and become more efficient.”
Kier Services is the UK's leading provider of specialist services to the public and private sector, delivering services including facilities management, building maintenance and environmental services, through to energy solutions, estates and strategic asset management.
