Cirencester wine bar Mad Hatters has been put on the market. The Castle Street bar, pictured, is popular with students from the Royal Agricultural College and Cirencester College, and trades three nights a week with well-known, small music acts and acoustic nights.
It is being marketed by the Bristol office of letting agents Christie & Co on behalf of a local businessman and will be made available on a new free-of-tie lease.
Christie + Co’s negotiator handling the sale Marcus Street said: “Opportunities to acquire a site in this location do not come along very often. The Mad Hatter provides a great opportunity for a licensee to establish themselves in the centre of Cirencester.”
Christies said the new tenant would have the opportunity to extend trading hours to increase business in what is a well-established bar in a central location, particularly during the day to cater for Cirencester’s busy lunch-time trade.
Mad Hatters is on the market at nil premium for the leasehold interest.
