Swindon-based fibre optic and cable manufacturer AFL has sealed a deal with Kazakhstan telecoms firm Caspian Telecommunications Projects (CTP), to be an authorised distributor of its products.
CTP is a major supplier of fibre optic cable solutions to mining companies, the oil and gas industries, and power utilities in the central Asian country.
AFL commercial director Steve Maederer said: “Having a partner of the quality and calibre of Caspian for our products allows us to reach new customers with customised fibre optic solutions in Kazakhstan, and knowing how Caspian invests in training their staff, we are certain that their customers will liaise with knowledgeable engineers who will offer the most cost-effective solution for their projects.”
The two firms have already installed more than 50km of aerial optical cable in Kazakhstan using AFL's pioneering SkyWrap fibre optic cable and accessories.
Caspian project manager Artem Sigutin added: “Our partnership with AFL helps to expand our position in Kazakhstan and enable us to offer the highest quality fibre optic cable and accessories to our customers. We are excited about our future prospects with AFL and with our customers.”
AFL manufactures, engineers and installs fiber optic products and associated equipment and employs more than 2,000 people worldwide.
