A group of brave volunteers from Swindon’s Accord Office Supplies are set to scale the dizzy heights of the town’s Jury’s Inn, pictured, to raise money for Prospect Hospice.

The team, made up of eight employees and their families, will be joining other local residents and businesses to abseiling down the 130-ft building on Sunday July 15. They are raising much-needed funds for the hospice which provides care for people living with life-limiting illnesses in Swindon and surrounding areas.

Accord managing director Jason Thomas said: “We’re happy to be raising money for such a worthwhile cause.  Last year Prospect Hospice helped more than 1,600 people. The hospice has personally supported several of our employees so we thought this would be a great way to say thank you.

“We hope to raise as much money as possible to help the hospice continue to provide support and care for our local community.”

The group hopes to raise in excess of £800. Donations can be made at www.justgiving.com/AccordOfficeSupplies
