The third annual Social Media Day celebration is to be held at The National Self Build & Renovation Centre conference hall in Swindon on Friday June 29.
The event has grown year-on-year with more than 600 Social Media Day events in 2010, followed by more than 1,400 events in 2011. With thousands of attendees worldwide this year is expected to be the biggest in the event's brief history.
In the South West the event is being organised by international internet solutions company WSI-eMarketing which has a base in Goucestershire, and jointly sponsored by The National Self Build & Renovation Centre (NSBRC) in Swindon and supported by development agency Forward Swindon.
Rob Thomas, managing director of WSI-eMarketing, said: “This is a great chance for business leaders from across the South West to come together to hear from some great speakers about how to leverage Social Media effectively and network in brilliant surroundings over a glass of wine at this free event.”
Verdi Taylor, head of marketing at NSBRC, said: “We’re very pleased to be able to support this great event by providing our Conference Centre in Swindon and refreshments and hope that local businesses and organisations who haven’t experienced our conferencing facilities get a chance to do so on the 29th June.”
The event will host three guest speakers from world of social media, including Simon Nicholson, Pan-European social media manager for Honda, Tamasine Johnson, senior digital campaigns and social media manager at The National Trust and Rob Thomas, MD of WSI-eMarketing.
