Budget airline EasyJet said today that it will introduce a year-round service to Copenhagen from Bristol this autumn. It follows Ryanair's announcement on Wednesday that it will launch Bristol's 8th route to Poland, flying three times a week to Warsaw Modlin from October 30.

Easyjet will fly to Copenhagen Airport every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday with fares starting at £24.99 (one-way, including taxes). The first flight will be on October 29.

Copenhagen has repeatedly been recognised as one of the cities with the best quality of life. It is also considered one of the most environmentally-friendly cities in the world and is competing against Bristol and Frankfurt for the title of European Green Capital 2014.

Warsaw joins Gdansk, Katowice, Krakow, Lodz, Poznan, Rzeszow and Wroclaw as a Polish destination and will bring to 21 the number of flights every week from Bristol to Poland. Fares start at £20.99 on the new route.

Bristol Airport aviation director Shaune Browne commented: Ryanair’s new service further strengthens connectivity between Poland and the South West, improving links for leisure and business travellers, as well as the substantial Polish community in the region.”

The airport can now boast 103 scheduled destinations.
