Hills has signed an agreement with Cemex UK to acquire its Newbury ready-mix concrete operations.
The Wiltshire-based company has been on the site at Bone Lane in Newbury carrying out routine maintenance and putting in a new computerised batching system.
Alan Mackenzie, group director at Hills, said: “Acquiring the site complements our existing facilities in Shorncote in South Gloucestershire, Lower Compton in Wiltshire and Woodsford in Dorset.
“It gives Hills the strategic opportunity to develop our market in the west Berkshire, north Hampshire and south Oxfordshire areas.”
The site is now ready to batch concrete and is able to offer ready mix concrete to our customers.
