David Lloyd Leisure is celebrating the success of its Swindon club, which has scooped Sales Team of the Year at the prestigious British Excellence in Sales and Marketing Awards (BESMA) 2011.
The team won the top award in the category for organisations with under 50 employees. David Lloyd Leisure’s Raynes Park club was runner-up in the same category.
The awards, which are organised every year by The Institute of Sales and Marketing Management to celebrate Britain’s top sales talent, were held at the Lancaster Hotel in London on Thursday night (May 26).
Martin Evans, sales director at David Lloyd said: “I am absolutely delighted with the success that David Lloyd Swindon’s sales team have achieved at the British Excellence in Sales and Marketing Awards. This is the highest level of recognition for their efforts, which they truly deserve, and also reflects the hard work that goes on in all of our clubs.
“Raynes Park too must be congratulated for their achievement in coming runner-up – for the second year running. This follows on their success in achieving internal sales team of the year a week earlier.”
The awards, which are the most prestigious for the sales profession, were hosted by award-winning TV and radio presenter Jeremy Nicholas.
