Production at car giant Honda's Swindon plant is to stay at half its usual level for a further two months as it continues to struggle against a shortage of parts from Japan.
The plant's 3,000 production staff will carry on working a two-day week during June and July, Honda said. They will stay on full pay while building up a balance of hours to owe the firm.
Honda halved the plant's output in April in the wake of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan, which seriously affected component makers and led to a shortage of parts.
A statement from Honda said: "We will continue on a reduced volume basis during June and July due to the ongoing parts interruption as a result of the impact caused by the Japan earthquake.
"Our workforce is fully aware of the situation as we keep them up-to-date on a very regular basis and during this period they will remain on full pay."
