Swindon businesses can discover how to target new and potentially lucrative overseas markets at a free event staged next month by UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) South West.
The Export Marketing Research Scheme (EMRS) clinic, which takes place at the Holiday Inn on Tuesday February 8, includes one-to-one advice sessions with experts and is aimed at helping businesses carry out market visits and undertake their own export marketing research.
Through EMRS, businesses are able to establish a valuable overview of a market, including the kind of detailed information they would not usually get from desk research, such as market-specific customer needs or cultural considerations. UKTI South West’s marketing manager Shaun Maynard-Smith said: “Targeting a new country can be a huge endeavour for any business, whether they are new to exporting or more experienced.
“But by doing the right groundwork first, and taking a targeted approach, the chances for success are much greater. UKTI’s EMRS scheme can help them take control of your export markets, save time and money, and develop an effective and efficient market entry strategy.”
“Anyone interested in growing their international business and increasing productivity and profit margins should come along for an opportunity to have a free, informal discussion with one of our experts.”
