All 80 stands at the Business Show Swindon have been sold more than three weeks before it takes place.

The strong take up has pleasantly surprised organisers GWE Business West and proved that firms and organisations in the town and around the region see real value in the event – the first of its kind in Swindon for several years. Exhibitors range from accountants and law firms to training providers and marketing consultancies, while business support organisations and public sector organisations such as Business Link and UK Trade & Investment have also booked space.

As well as traditional exhibition space, the show, which is staged at Swindon’s STEAM railway museum on February 10 and sponsored by Lloyds TSB Commercial, also features a programme of seminars, free speed networking sessions and a conference café for networking and refreshments.

Members of the Initiative in Swindon and GWE Business West’s LinkedIn group will have exclusive use of an espresso bar. The LinkedIn group, with 1,800 members, is now the largest in the South West.

Ian Larrard, director of the Initiative in Swindon and Wiltshire, GWE Business West, said: “The LinkedIn Espresso Bar is an innovative way of bringing members together so that they can network face to face. This is an ideal way for people to do business and bring their online discussions to life.”

The seminar programme will cover topics such as social media, networking, marketing and intellectual property. A funding for growth seminar will bring together experts to offer advice and up-to-the minute information on funding options available.

Neil Higginson, programme manager – ERDF Projects, GWE Business West, added: “This seminar will provide a unique insight from organisations whose task it is to help businesses successfully attract funding in these difficult times.”

During the day GWE Business West’s High Growth team will also be on hand to offer practical advice and other assistance to growing businesses.

Swindon Chamber of Commerce will stage a breakfast event at STEAM before the show while Swindon Strategic Economic Partnership’s (SSEP) annual conference is being held in the same venue during the morning.

The show takes place from 9am to 4pm. To register to attend go to:
