Ovivo, a world leader in engineered water treatment services, has relocated a major part of its business to Chippenham, citing the town’s transport links as a key factor for the move.
The firm, which has offices in 21 countries worldwide employing 1,500 people, has signed a 10-year deal to take space at Bewley House, the landmark former North Wiltshire District Council office block.
Ovivo will base its Integrated Solutions Team in the building, from where it will provide environmental engineering services for wastewater treatment projects throughout Europe, Middle East and Africa.”
The firm, part of the giant Canadian GLV group, has an offering spanning clean water, process water, wastewater treatment, waste to energy and water reuse.
Integrated Solutions Group manager Stephen Kennedy said: “In addition to the transportation links, the high speed internet connections available at Bewley House will allow us to communicate with our other offices and clients via video conferencing, thereby reducing our greenhouse gas emissions.”
Bewley House is owned and managed by Bath-based HPH Commercial Property. HPH managing director Lindsay Holdoway said: “Ovivo is a great addition to Bewley House. Like many modern companies, it needs good communication links both digitally and on the ground and Bewley House is ideally placed to deliver both.
Ovivo has relocated its Integrated Solutions Team from offices near Trowbridge.
