Swindon’s business leaders will be hearing financial predictions for the local economy at the annual Swindon Strategic Economic Partnership (SSEP) conference on Friday 20 November, as well as finding out all the latest business information.
The SSEP, a partnership between Swindon Borough Council and the local business community, will be outlining its successes – including the Youth Enterprise Group and the SSEP’s successful bid for government money from the Future Jobs Fund – as well as outlining plans for the coming year. The winner of the Swindon New Business Competition will also be announced.
Speakers addressing conference, which will be attended by over 150 people from key Swindon businesses at the Marriott Hotel in Pipers Way include Nationwide Building Society’s Head of Economic and Marketing Analysis, Mark Saddleton, who will give his predictions for the economy, and David Tester, from Air Semiconductor.
The Chair of the SSEP, Rikki Hunt, said: “This is a key event in the local business community’s calendar. As well as news and achievements there will be networking opportunities with key players in the Swindon business community.”
Previous conferences have been praised by business leaders, with comments such as: “excellent presentations”, “frank and informative”, “an injection of confidence we need for the Swindon business community” and “refreshingly positive”.
The Swindon Stategic Economic Partnership, which is spearheaded by Swindon Borough Council, was established in 2006 to lead Swindon’s ambitious strategy for economic growth. The SSEP coordinates enterprise activities alongside an exciting new agenda of business growth and innovation.
