Monahans, the regional accountancy firm, has welcomed eight new graduate trainees.

Based in its Swindon and Trowbridge offices, they will be completing their professional ACA qualifications to become chartered accountants.

For the next three years Ashleigh Ward, Alex MacLachlan, Harris Huntley, Luke Midwinter, Raveethan Gunaratnarajah, Nicola Crick, Delane Janenthirarajah and Eiranjit Chahal will be supported to become the next generation of accounting professionals.

All are based within the firm’s business services team and are working alongside experienced colleagues in accounts preparation and audit.

Delane Janenthirarajah, who is based in Monahans’ Swindon office, said: “I graduated in Business Management from Manchester Metropolitan University.

“Having worked in London following my graduation, I decided to move back home to Wiltshire and follow my interest in accounting with a graduate role in the Swindon office.

“So far I have thoroughly enjoyed my role and I’m looking forward to developing and growing in my position with Monahans.”

Trowbridge-based Alex MacLachlan, who has already joined the Monahans football team, added: “I am born and raised in Trowbridge, and have a Business with Accounting degree from the University of the West of England.

“The first couple of weeks at Monahans have been really fun and I have been learning a lot thanks to the helpful people around me.”

Managing partner Simon Tombs said: “Our new trainees are very welcome additions to the team and I’m sure they will excel in their qualifications and continue to deliver a high level of service to our clients.

“A number of our staff, including partners, first joined us as trainees and are still with us and so I hope this latest group are looking forward to a long and rewarding career with Monahans.”

Monahans, which also has offices in Chippenham, Melksham, Bath and Glastonbury, has 14 partners and employs 165 people following this week’s merger with smaller Bath firm O’Hara Wood.
