Swindon-based bookings agency Venues and Events International has taken on four new recruits as its rapid expansion continues.

Holly Vallerius, Venetia Harding, Katie Venner and Edward Werrell have joined the agency, bringing a mix of youth and experience into the business, which has targeting staffing of 20-plus before the end of 2016, with a turnover forecast to exceed £6m.

The firm, based in Wanborough, was set up last year by long-serving industry figure Anita Lowe after she left events industry giant Bluehat.

Holly, pictured right, arrives as project and events executive, having worked on delegate management for the likes of Jaguar and Land Rover in her previous role.

Edward, pictured left, previously worked for both an audio-visual firm and event hire business as a project manager and joins Venues and Events International as a project management executive.

Venetia, pictured below leftand Katie, pictured below right, both join as conference planning executives, with Venetia having recently returned from a placement year in California, where she worked as a hospitality management intern.

Chief executive Anita Lowe said: “It’s fantastic to be able to bring such a wealth of talented newcomers into our agency family and everyone has settled into their roles extremely well.

“We’ve had an exceptionally busy summer so far, with a series of Olympic-themed sports day events here in the UK and some exciting projects oversees.”

The firm has also launched a new website featuring case studies and blog articles.”

Anita formed her first company Venues Unlimited in 1989 with husband Chris from their home, building it into one of the UK’s leading event management, conference placement, venue finding and accommodation sourcing companies.
