Business leaders from Swindon and across Wiltshire are invited to hear a leading economist share his views on the UK’s prospects and put questions to a panel of experts at an Economic Question Time debate next week.

HSBC Bank head of economics Mark Berrisford-Smith will discuss the local, national and global outlook at the event, staged by regional law firm Withy King, which has offices in Swindon and Marlborough, in partnership with Swindon accountants Morris Owen and HSBC.

The Economic Question Time takes place at the Swindon Marriott Hotel, Pipers Way, on Thursday, June 9. It will be chaired by Swindon and Wiltshire Local Enterprise Partnership vice chair Nicky Alberry, who will oversee and direct questions from the audience.

In what promises to be a lively debate, Mr Berrisford-Smith will join fellow panellists Withy King corporate lawyer Rishi Ladwa, Rob Beale, partner at Morris Owen, Martin Groombridge, director of Swindon Technical Services and Robert Buckland, editor/director of Swindon Business News.

Now in its second year, the Economic Question Time event will run from 12.30pm to 3pm and includes a sit-down lunch. To find out more or register an interest, email events@withyking.co.uk
