The Royal Bank of Scotland has appointed Chris Price as regional director of commercial banking for the South West, Midlands and Wales.

Chris, pictured, will head the commercial banking team responsible for supporting SME customers across the region. Seven local directors of commercial banking will report to him along with their respective relationship management and sector teams.

Chris, who is based in Bristol and Birmingham, has worked for the bank for more than 29 years in various roles across the retail, commercial and corporate divisions. He has extensive experience of working with SMEs and corporates to support their day-to-day banking needs and growth ambitions.

In his previous Bristol-based role he was responsible for managing the South West and Wales region – his new position extends this focus into the Midlands.

He will continue to work closely with South West director Craig Cabot and South Wales and Severnside director Steve Wilson.

Chris said: “I am delighted to extend my role into the Midlands where there is a rich variety of SMEs and Corporates who are enjoying significant growth and in turn contributing to the local and UK economy.

“Our customers remain our key focus and we are committed to providing outstanding service as we work towards a vision to be the favourite commercial bank. I am looking forward to working with the team to support customer ambitions and keep people at the heart of modern banking.”
