Telecoms firm Comec is to move onto the Shrivenham Hundred Business Park, near Swindon – the latest in a growing number of businesses to take space on the popular site.

Comec, an Avaya Enterprise telephone system reseller, is relocating from Wantage having bought the long leasehold interest in two adjoining units on the business park.

The firm, founded in 1988 and now operating throughout Europe, is to move to units 68/69 which were previously occupied by Avent Technology Solutions. The firm has bought the 4,700 sq ft property off a quoting price of £330,000. The units had previously been combined to provide ground floor workshop accommodation with first-floor offices.

Eight units have now changed hands or are under offer at Shrivenham Hundred, according to agents Alder King.

Martin Baker of Alder King’s Swindon office said three long leasehold units had been sold so far this year with a further two under offer

“Shrivenham Hundred Business Park is home to a small but growing cluster of high-tech and IT-related companies,” he said.

“The park has enjoyed a very successful start to 2015, with at least eight units having changed hands or under offer, and the arrival of Comec adds to its reputation as a modern, well-connected business location.”
