Each week Swindon Business News gives a prominent member of the area’s business community the last word on our weekly e-bulletin. This week Donna Gillingham, co-founder Ardour Recruitment, answers our 10 questions.

What was the LAST:

Film you watched? Apocalypto. One of my favourites – amazing film.

Book you read? Thomas the Tank Engine. The best way to put my three-year-old brother to sleep.

Music you bought/downloaded? This could be embarrassing……. so I’m not going to tell say!

Concert or play you went to? Does Reading Festival a few years ago count? I don’t get out much……….one of the joys of being your own boss.

Sporting event you attended? Thumb war with my best friend. That’s a sport right?

Holiday you went on? Holiday? What’s that? Only kidding – St Agnes in Cornwall for a few days. Beautiful place.

Restaurant you ate in? The Royal Oak in Bishopstone. Great food.

Thing that annoyed you? My computer crashing after I had spent over two hours on a proposal. I must learn to save as I go.

Thing that made you laugh out loud? My colleague doing a chicken dance around the office. No names mentioned Lynda……….

Piece of good advice you were given? It takes 20 years to build a reputation and five minutes to ruin it. If you remember that you will do things differently. True words from a true friend. (I’m sure she copied and pasted this from somewhere though.)

Donna Gillingham, who was born and brought up in Swindon, is the co-founder of Ardour Recruitment, which is based in the town but operates nationwide. At only 27, she’s had a successful career in recruitment but decided she needed to run her own business and do things differently. Ardour has built a great reputation and is growing fast.
