The last remaining unit on a business park near Swindon has been let – proof, according to property consultants Alder King, of the strength of activity in the area’s office market.

International construction, engineering and IT recruitment consultancy Magnus James has relocated from Cirencester to the Lakeside Business Park in South Cerney, taking the remaining 1,075 sq ft fully refurbished unit off a quoting annual rent of £12,500.

The business park, which has 10 units, is now fully occupied.

Martin Baker of Alder King’s Swindon office said: “Having dealt with Lakeside Business Park for a number of years and seen its popularity as a business location, we’re delighted to see the park fully occupied once again.”

Alder King acted jointly with WBM Properties on behalf of retained clients.

Last week Alder King’s respected Market Monitor mid-year report revealed that the rapid recovery in Swindon’s office market had pushed supply down to a 10-year low, triggering calls for speculative development.
