Each week Swindon Business News gives a prominent member of the town’s business community the last word on its weekly e-bulletin. This week Jeremy Holt, partner at Clark Holt Commercial Solicitors, answers our 10 questions

What was the LAST:

Film you watched? Jimmy’s Hall. One of the many wonderful films put on by the Swindon Film Society.

Book you read? Intelligence in War by John Keegan (my wife and I are fascinated by military history).

Music you bought/downloaded? Sugar Man by Rodriguez (I saw the film about him).

Concert or play you went to? The Play That Goes Wrong. I could not believe the stage effects.

Sporting event you attended? Last Saturday’s parkrun in Lydiard Park.

Holiday you went on? A walking holiday in the Lake District.

Restaurant you ate in? The excellent Mela Curry House on Victoria Road (the office goes there every Friday lunchtime).

Thing that annoyed you? The recent rather ill-advised advertising campaign by First Great Western (I do not like text superimposed on pictures).

Thing that made you laugh out loud? Have I Got News For You.

Piece of good advice you were given? If you want to run faster, take shorter steps (it does work!)

Jeremy Holt is a partner in Clark Holt Commercial Solicitors in Swindon. He co-founded Swindon Computer Museum and is a trustee of the Friends of Lydiard Park. His wife is a local GP.
