Relocation and accreditation for fast-growing financial planning firm

Wiltshire-based financial planning firm Proposito is celebrating a double boost – a move to larger premises and accreditation by its industry’s professional body.

The firm has relocated from Malmesbury to larger premises on the town’s outskirts, doubling its space to also include two meeting rooms, which will help it accommodate a growing client base and more staff.

The firm, which is recruiting a chartered financial planner to continue its growth, has also gained accreditation by the Institute of Financial Planning (IFP).

The endorsement comes just weeks after Proposito Financial Planning was granted prestigious chartered financial planner status by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) and last November it achieved BS8577, the only British Standard for financial advice and planning firms.

Director Huw Jones, pictured, said the last few months had been a watershed for Proposito, and the IFP accreditation was the icing on the cake.

“Our relocation to larger premises and the accolades we have achieved – including this latest from the IFP – all demonstrate the high level of service we offer, and our commitment to our clients,” he said. “They give us a firm footing on which to base future growth.”

The IFP is the professional body for UK financial planners. It accredits only firms which it assesses as demonstrating the highest professional standards of financial planning service and advice to clients.

Mr Jones added: “We’re delighted to have achieved this powerful recognition of our commitment to professionalism and outstanding client service.

“Our clients expect and deserve only the highest standards of advice and service, as we work with them to plan their finances so that they can achieve their goals in life. We’re proud to deliver a service which they value and which has now been externally recognised too.”

Proposito Financial Planning specialises in providing bespoke financial planning services to individuals and businesses. It is one of fewer than 400 in the UK to have been granted CII chartered status. Mr Jones holds personal chartered status, which he achieved in 2013.
