Vehicle telematics firm’s efficiency drive reaps rewards after heading into the cloud

Swindon-based vehicle telematics specialist CMS SupaTrak is making huge savings after installing cutting-edge cloud-based software provided as part of an overhaul of its systems.

The finance, accounting and business information system developed by Bristol-based Xledger has already resulted in a saving of around £100,000 across a four-month period by automating a repeat sales ordering system

Other benefits for CMS SupaTrak, which works with major clients such as SITA UK, Veolia Environmental Services, Biffa and Kier, have included improved stock and quality control,  support for remote working for staff and allowing staff based in the firm’s European operations to process transactions in euros.

It also provides the management team with daily insight into business performance and speeds up the process of month-end reporting

CMS SupaTrak managing director Jason Airey said the business was live with most processes within a month of starting the implementation process. 

He said: “We needed to replace legacy systems and large complex spreadsheets in order to make working processes more efficient.

“For example, one of our key goals was to introduce improved stock control within the business, removing the need for manual stock reconciliations and giving more accurate visibility of stock movements.
