Each week Swindon Business News gives a prominent member of the area’s business community the last word on its weekly e-bulletin.

This week Mary Hoffman, partner at specialist wills, probate and conveyancing law firm Hoffman Male, answers our 10 questions.

What was the LAST:

Film you watched? Last Vegas with Michael Douglas, Robert De Niro, Morgan Freeman and Kevin Kline. Brilliantly funny film – enjoyed it immensely.

Book you read? Journey of Souls by Michael Newton – a fascinating read.

Music you bought? Andrea Bocelli Passione. Love this guy. He is so talented. I went to a concert which was fabulous.

Concert you went to? Andrea Bocelli in Birmingham. An awesome performance

Sporting event you attended?  A junior football tournament in Gloucester with my two grandsons. We’re sponsoring their team Abbeymead Jaguars for next season. A great day out for all the family and we had great weather too.

Holiday you went on? La Palma – one of the islands off Tenerife and the Canaries.

Restaurant you ate in? Bombay Lounge. I love curries.

Thing that annoyed you? When it rained trying to take the tent down on a recent camping holiday!

Thing that made you laugh out loud? My two-year-old grandson Toby when he said first thing in the morning: “Hello Nana, how are you today?”

Piece of good advice you were given?  Trust your instincts. If it’s for you it will not go by you.

Mary Hoffman, partner at Hoffman Male, was born in Dumfries, Scotland. She moved to Swindon in 1999 with her husband and two sons and qualified in English law shortly afterwards. Mary has worked in the legal profession since leaving school, and her area of expertise is property law, wills and probate.
