Accountants from the Swindon area will hear from explorer, fundraiser and author Sir Ranulph Fiennes tomorrow when they join colleagues from across the West of England for their profession’s annual dinner.

Sir Ranulph, pictured, is guest speaker at The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales’ (ICEAW) West of England dinner, which takes place in Bristol.

The only man alive ever to have travelled around the Earth’s circumpolar surface, Sir Ranulph will be sharing inspiring anecdotes of his explorations and the challenges that he has faced to an audience made up of the West’s leading accountants and guests.

ICAEW West of England president Geoff Gollop said: “The West of England Annual dinner is the largest business dinner in the South West and has been a great success in previous years thanks to the support of our members and the business community.

“I am certain that Sir Ranulph will encourage us to reflect on the challenges faced in our own businesses.”

The dinner at The Marriott City Centre Hotel, Bristol, is sponsored by law firm Thrings, which has its largest office in Swindon, and Lloyds Bank. It takes place against a backdrop of improving confidence among ICAEW members.

Tickets can be bought online at www.icaew.com or by calling the booking team on 01908 248159.
