Barclays corporate division in Old Town, Swindon, has welcomed four new arrivals – the latest investment in its drive to be the area’s first-choice commercial banking provider.
The bank said the expansion demonstrated its commitment to supporting businesses in the Swindon and Wiltshire areas as the economy continues to emerge from the downturn.
Relationship director Chris Elias, who has nearly 30 years’ experience in the local corporate market, will continue to head Barclays’ offering to corporate clients operating with a turnover of £5m-plus. He will be supported by relationship support manager Ryan Thomas.
Joining the Swindon team are Trevor French, Tom Windett, John Thorne and Akansh Ganeriwala who between them bring a combined wealth of corporate banking experience of nearly 100 years.

Relationship director, agribusiness, Tom Windett, has been with Barclays for more than seven years and specialises in working with clients operating in the agricultural sector.
Relationship director John Thorne has worked at Barclays for 26 years and brings a wide range of corporate banking knowledge and experience, gained predominantly in the Oxfordshire area.
Relationship support manager Akansh Ganeriwala is a new graduate at Barclays and will be working closely with John by providing a day-to-day relationship service for both new and existing corporate clients in Swindon.
