Solicitors specialising in private client work in the Swindon and Marlborough offices of law firm Withy King have raised £4,000 for Prospect Hospice through its Make a Will Month initiative.
Withy King offered free professional will-making services in exchange for a donation to Prospect. The service included those writing new wills as well as updating existing one.
Mandy Casavant, pictured, a solicitor in Withy King’s Swindon private client team, said: “The one uniting factor in all the people I met during Make a Will Month was that they had all been touched in some way by the work of Prospect Hospice.
“Prospect has such a positive effect in the community. People have been inspired and driven to help in any way they can to ensure the hospice continues its invaluable work.”
The hospice has provided the only dedicated end-of-life care service for more than 30 years to the 280,000 people living in Swindon and North Wiltshire, as well as Fairford and Lechlade in Gloucestershire.
It provides care, comfort and confidence around the clock every day of the year. Last year its dedicated care reached more than 1,800 people living with cancer and other serious conditions.
