Swindon companies can hear now they can get involved with the town’s planned UTC (University Technical College) by shaping its curriculum and making sure it meets the needs of employers at a meeting taking place on November 6.

The UTC will be a new concept in engineering education for the town and is expected to open its doors to 14 to19-year-old students in 2014.

Oxford Brookes University and Johnson Matthey Fuel Cells are joint sponsors of the UTC, which has recently received the go-ahead from Government to move to the development phase.

The meeting will be held at Intel Corporation, Pipers Way, on November 6, from 5.30pm.  For more information see www.brookes.ac.uk/business_employers/utc-swindon, or to register, click here http://shapethefutureofengineering.eventbrite.co.uk
