Eight intrepid hikers from Swindon-based IT recruiter Outsource UK are donning their walking boots to train for the Three Peaks Challenge.

The team, headed by managing director Paul Jameson, hope to raise at least £1,500 by climbing Britain’s three highest peaks – Scafell Pike in England, Ben Nevis in Scotland and Snowdon in Wales – in just 24 hours on September 15.

Team member Outsource UK account manager Claire Farrow said: “Paul is planning to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in October so needs some climbing practice. We’re all quite fit and have done a few 10k runs but wanted to do something different. I’ve always fancied the Three Peaks Challenge so this seemed a really good idea for us.

“We chose to support the Prospect because it’s a great local charity and I think everyone can relate to the excellent work they do in caring for people.”

Alongside Paul and Claire are Anna Stretch, Tara Davis, James McAbendroth, Graham McIntosh, Ian Wilmer and Katy Gregory. Anyone wishing to sponsor them can do so through their Just Giving page at www.justgiving.com/OutsourceUKThreePeakChallenge
