A new venue for business events has been launched in Swindon by chartered accountants Banks.

The firm relocated from Old Town to Stratton in April and has decided to use the refurbished offices in Ermin Street to hold business events, including seminars and networking.

It kicked off the series with a talk recently to academy schools and continues it next week with a seminar on alternative investments.

Banks director Neil Elsden said: “One of the reasons we moved was to give us room to hold events like these.

“The talk to academy schools was held over lunchtime and was well received. Next week’s is a teatime event aimed at people interested in alternative investments such as property, green oil, agriculture and gold.

“We have an expert delivering the talk who will explain all the pros and cons and answer any questions.

“By varying the times we run these free events and the subject matter we hope to offer something to suit everyone.”

Next week’s event is from 5.45pm-7pm on Wednesday and includes light refreshments.

Anyone interested in attending should pre-book by contacting Shelly Hacker at Banks on 01793 839977 or by visiting www.banksca.co.uk.
