Morrisons has signed a deal to open one of its stores at the old Swindon College redevelopment site.
The £100m plans will go on public exhibition at the Central library from today with planning application expected to be submitted by the end of May.
Spokesman for the main site developer said the company were also in negotiations with a cinema chain and several restaurants.
“The core of the scheme hasn’t changed at all in a sense that it’s got food retail, leisure and cinema but the residential tower that was originally encouraged has now disappeared.”
