Swindon-based consultancy PFA has marked its 25th anniversary with an Investor In People award.
PFA Consulting, a multi disciplinary consultancy specialising in transport planning, highways and infrastructure engineering for the planning and development sectors has been directly concerned with providing the infrastructure for developments involving more than 100,000 homes.
As its quarter centenary approaches, PFA Consulting applied for – and was soon afterwards granted – Investor In People status by Business South West in acknowledgment of its commitment to staff, training and development. The award recognises PFA Consulting’s commitment to its workforce along with its high standard of training and development.
PFA Consulting chairman and founder Peter Finlayson said: “We’ve always regarded ourselves like a big family; my extended family. But you can only go so far in an informal way. There comes a point when you need to have something more rigorous in place. That’s why we’re pleased with this accreditation. It only took four weeks to achieve because we already had most things in place.”
Mr Finlayson said the company’s aim was to provide a first class service to its clients while allowing its employees to enjoy a healthy balance between working and family life.
He said: “Continuous improvement is an everyday part of our working environment. Our aim is to exceed the expectations of our clients and ensure our team enjoys a balanced work/life culture.”
