Pro-active BNI chapter launching in Swindon

Word of mouth reputation has never been more important for business owners, and during the last recession as consumers, we relied more on personal recommendations to reduce the risk we take when buying from new suppliers.
Local companies would do well to consider how they can develop such recommendations as 98 per cent of business owners rely on referrals for new business but only three per cent have any plans to create them.
Over the last 24 years, BNI (Business Networking and Referrals International), has become the world’s leading referral organisation. Darren Beggan, local BNI assistant director and sales manager of Emnico Technologies in West Swindon, will shortly launch a new business referral group at the Campanile Hotel.
“BNI meetings are much more than networking meetings.  We bring business professionals together within a non-competitive environment in order to develop qualified referrals. Referrals rely on trust confidence, an understanding of how we can help each other and a willingness to do so,” said Darren.
“Other local BNI groups in the last year have passed new business to the value of £1.2m. I believe we can do the same here in Swindon.  We are not going to get through this recession on our own. BNI have a system that is focused, structured and proven to develop new business for the local economy.  The next twelve months are going to be very exciting.”
Those interested in attending the next meeting should call Darren Beggan on 01793 492236  or email him at dbeggan@emnico.com
