When it comes to planning your self build or renovation project, don’t forget “The Three P’s” to make sure your project runs perfectly – Preparation, Preparation, Preparation!  To help you get the foundations of your planning right, the experts at the National Self Build & Renovation Centre are holding a weekend event dedicated to helping you get the basics right.

The “Basic Building Blocks” weekend (4th & 5th April 2009) is ideal for novice self builders and renovators who are feeling a little overwhelmed and baffled about where and how to start. The event programme will take you through the first steps of any building project – the ‘who, what, where, why, when and how’ – helping you to understand the basic principles and key decisions involved to get your project off the ground. Covering everything from finding land, securing planning, and choosing a construction method, to budgeting, project management and sourcing your trades and materials, the event will provide the answers to prepare you for any project.

The Basic Building Blocks weekend includes a programme of presentations and seminars, and you’ll have the chance to book one-to-one consultations with some of the industry’s leading experts and professionals, as well as meet real-life self builders and renovators. If you want to build up your knowledge, this event will give you the confidence and know-how to plan a perfect project.

The event takes place on 4th & 5th April at The National Self Build & Renovation Centre, Swindon
