Highcross has let a 14,760 sq ft property in the Shaw Ridge leisure area of West Swindon to Laserquest Swindon, which has relocated its operations from a site in the town centre.
Laserquest Swindon has agreed a new twelve-year lease on Unit 3 Shaw Ridge, which is located between the multiplex cinema and bowling alley, and previously traded as a nightclub. The premises recently opened for business, following a substantial package of refurbishment works by both Highcross and Laserquest.
Craig Ulrich, managing director of Laserquest commented: “The new site has allowed us to improve the game arena, add a “Softplay” facility for families with younger children and remodel our LAN gaming. Additionally the building will allow us to offer more food options now we have a dedicated kitchen area and parties will be greatly enhanced by the addition of party rooms. With the benefit of greater flexibility inside the building, ease of access by public transport and free parking for guests, we have significantly improved our offer to customers.”
Highcross director, Nick Turner added: “Laserquest is a natural addition to the range of leisure facilities at Shaw Ridge and we are pleased to have worked closely with the company to deliver premises which will provide a great experience for their customers.”
Martin Baker of Whitmarsh Lockhart, agents for Highcross, commented: “I am particularly encouraged to see a letting of this size and nature completing in what is clearly a difficult and unpredictable market. It’s great to see the property brought back into a state of repair and operation and I wish Laserquest every success with their new premises.”
