Two new lettings at South Cerney Business Park

Whitmarsh Lockhart has let units B & C at South Cerney Business Estate to Especial Limited who have taken a new five year lease agreement. The space equated to 5,071 sq ft of high office content industrial space and the quoting rent was £6.90 per sq ft per annum exclusive.

Vygon UK Limited have taken Beaver House, Lakeside Business Park, extending to approximately 15,000 sq ft of additional warehouse accommodation.  Earlier in the year Vygon secured Drake House, which was approximately 17,000 sq ft.  Their reason for moving to South Cerney was due to the lack of product available in the Cirencester area.

The completion of these two property deals has really proved that South Cerney is a more than credible alternative, boasting good links to the A419, making the M4 and M5 Motorways both easily accessible.

With further development currently underway at Lakeside Business Park there are now more opportunities for tenants to secure industrial space from 1,200 sq ft upwards.  Lakeside Business Park also benefits from having high quality office premises available making South Cerney a strong location for commercial occupiers on both an office and industrial side.

Ralph Wells, associate partner at Whitmarsh Lockhart commented: “These two lettings of industrial space have resulted in almost 40,000 sq ft being taken this year in the South Cerney area. The majority of these tenants would have gone to Cirencester had there been the opportunity, but due to the lack of stock available they found South Cerney to be a very good alternative.  More space is to be completed later this year.

In addition to the new industrial space at South Cerney, the recently completed office space now provides commercial occupiers in the Cirencester area the ability to acquire new high quality space with attractive rates.  Whilst there is no new development in Cirencester, South Cerney will continue to prove popular.  I am confident that there will be more space taken before the end of the year as interest is still strong.

“Both the South Cerney Business Park and Lakeside Business Park are high quality locations and present themselves well in the market.  With recent improvements in the South Cerney area such as the new Four Pillars Hotel, South Cerney continues to prove a good business location for the future.”
